Showroom BMW, Gouda

BMW Breeman commissioned VAN AKEN to design a new facility at the Gouwe industrial park in Moordrecht. The new showroom has to distinguish itself by a sparkling but modest character.

The new building should have a business and premium character that suits BMW. VAN AKEN has translated this into a sleek design with few details on the facade, which is clearly visible from the A12 motorway.

The new showroom provides room for a personal touch. For example, only a select number of BMW models is displayed but three podium places can be filled to the wishes of the customer. This way the potential BMW driver has influence on the decor.

Innovative concept

Breeman hopes the new showroom shows an innovative concept. The showroom will no longer have the full range of BMW models on display, but the focus will be on selected models.

However, the new showroom is not smaller than the current one. Under the showroom the Black Box has been created, a parking garage where the other BMW models are stored and are available if the customer requests it.
