De Bakermat, Eindhoven

VAN AKEN is working with designer Maarten Baas on a design for an extraordinary residential building at the Marconi square in Eindhoven.

The ambition of owner and developer Stam + De Koning is to be on the postcard "Greetings from Eindhoven". The new development on Marconiplein reflects the atmosphere of the past, the sympathetic and the cosiness of Brabant. This is combined with modern city life. For the realization of these facades, a sketch has literally been worked out as if there was no need for a ruler.

De Bakermat will be connected to the biomass power plant of Ennatuurlijk in Strijp-T, thus making an important contribution to the sustainability of Eindhoven.
